The Science Behind Partage Biotech's Database

Herbivory: Canadian Plants are Unique
Some plants protect themselves from being consumed by animals. These chemicals can be new medicines.

Foraging
Respectful and sustainable collection of botanicals, using our proprietary databases and sites knowledge. The right plants at the right time.

Extracting
Application of best technologies to isolate nature’s best natural products.

Cataloging
Plants and extracts are annotated and analyzed to identify their best properties for our clients.
The Rationale
Nature has generated chemical compounds that enable Canadian vascular plants to thrive under extreme and variable conditions. Many of these solutions are “secondary metabolites” - natural products that protect plants from intense solar radiation, drought, temperature change, and herbivores. We have studied and catalogued these natural products.
Our Core Values
Our core values ensure our clients succeed.
Community: We understand how nature connects to communities
We value our connection to communities, employee development, work/life balance to develop the best talent and help our clients succeed.
Science
We apply rigorous scientific methods and deep knowledge of Canadian botanicals to generate high-quality, reproducible data that meet industry and research standards.
