Genomics

We acquire high-quality reference genomes from Canadian plant species through collaborations with Canada’s top genome scientists, then analyze and annotate biosynthetic pathways. By understanding Canadian plants, we connect genotype to predicted metabolic pathways to chemicals of interest. The result is a map of bioactive chemistry for testing and AI analysis.

Chemical Analysis

We characterize extracts and purify compounds by LC-MS, GC-MS, and NMR, combining untargeted discovery with targeted quantitation. Structure elucidation links masses to molecules and molecules to pathways. All records are connected to vouchered specimens, metadata, and quality controls for traceable chemistry.

Biological Testing

We evaluate extracts and molecules in human cell systems that read out cell division, redox stress, and relevant signalling pathways. High-content imaging, flow cytometry, and counterscreens define activity and rule out artifacts. Follow-up chemoproteomics and mechanism studies connect phenotypes to protein targets.
